Stocking Dates

The dates have now been confirmed for the stocking of the Grand River & Conestogo River. Remember that these are "rain or shine" activities so dress accordingly. The only thing that will stop stocking will be excessively high water.

  1. Grand RiverTuesday, May 12
    13,500 yearling fish from the Chatsworth hatchery. These fish will be stocked by pails as in previous years.
    Meet: Zehrs parking lot on Tower street (Hwy#6) (see Google map) at the south end of Fergus by 9.45am so as to get organized prior to the arrival of the stocking truck at approx 10.00am.

  2. Grand River Wednesday, May 13
    10,000 1+ plus yearling from the Chatsworth hatchery. These fish will be stocked by pails as in previous years.
    Meet: Zehrs parking lot on Tower street (Hwy#6) (see Google map) at the south end of Fergus by 9.45am as to get organized prior to the arrival of the stocking truck at approx 10.00am.

  3. Conestogo, Thursday, May 14
    10, 500 yearling fish from the Chatsworth hatchery.
    Meet: Macton access site parking lot (see Google map) between 9:15 and 9:45 as to  get organized prior to the arrival of the stocking truck approx. 10:00 AM.Please email Brad Knarr or call him at 519 747 1824 if you are coming.

  4. Conestogo, Wednesday , May 20
    4, 250 fish from the Harwood fish hatchery.
    Meet: Macton access site parking lot between 9:15 and 9:45 as to  get organized prior to the arrival of the stocking truck approx. 10:00 AM.Please email Brad Knarr or call him at 519 747 1824 if you are coming.

  5. Thursday, May 21 
    Fingerlings from 60,000 eggs from the volunteer hatchery at the Brant County Rod and Gun club.
    Meet: Macton access site parking lot between 9:15 and 9:45 as to  get organized prior to the arrival of the stocking truck approx. 10:00 AM.Please email Brad Knarr or call him at 519 747 1824 if you are coming.
