Walt was an energetic contributor in the early development of the Grand River tailwater fishery

CRAWFORD, Walter Thomas- Passed away with his family at his side, at the Groves Memorial Community Hospital, in his 58th year. Walt will be dearly missed by Nell and his daughter Erin. Survived by his mother Paula Crawford and his sister Mary Anne Myers (David) of Penetanguishene. Walt will be missed by his extended family, many friends and the Grand River. The family will receive their friends for a Time of Reception in the Wellington Room at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home & Chapel, 280 St. David St. South in Fergus, on Sunday, September 25th 2005 from 2 – 5pm. FRANK SEVERINSKY

SEVERINSKY, Frank - The family of Frank Severinsky sadly announce his
passing, at his home on April 14, 2004 at the age of 64. By his side for
almost 35 years and until the end was his loving wife Kay (Dudash). Dear
brother of John Severinsky (Georgina). Uncle of Ivan (Kelly) and Tania
Belcastro (John) and great uncle of Haley and Drake. Sadly missed by his
faithful companion Shadow. Predeceased by his parents, Frank Severinsky and Rose Severinsky Husnik. Loving thanks for all your love and support over the years to cousins Jeannie Larose and family, Annie Maitz and family, Steve, Ivan and Frank Opat and families. Thanks to dear friends for all your
support and long, good years of friendship to Mike Blazak, Norm Cutress,
Brian and Liz Williams, Sally and Mike Bosnich. Special thanks to good
neighbours Betty and Wes Stonos, and a very special thank you to Alanna and Rick, Pat, Betsy, Katharine, Kathleen Flatau and Fran. Born in Sudbury,
Frank lived with his family in Niagara before immigrating to Croatia. There,
he attended school before returning to Canada where he has since lived in
Welland. Frank worked at the Union Carbide for 21 years until his
retirement. He was an avid billiard player and also enjoyed golf, fishing
and hunting. He was a proud supporter of Friends of the Grand and a member of the 3F Conservation Club, the Croatian National Home, Croatian Seniors and the Seniors Snooker League. The family will receive friends at J.J. Patterson & Sons Funeral Residence, 19 Young Street, Welland on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Saturday after 11:30 a.m. where the funeral service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. by Pastor Louise Aikman. Cremation will follow. Private family interment at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens at a later date.
